Non technical Person needs help!

I've had this problem with my computer for the last couple of weeks where I would turn it on and the video card would start and power on but my monitor would stay black.

So today I decided to take apart my computer and put it back together, It fixed the problem, it starts up and I can read stuff on my monitor. Only problem is it asks me to do something called FastBuild to my Harddrive, if I skip this phase the computer just keeps restarting before going to the windows xp logon.

I have an Asus Motherboard and a Radeon x800 pro video card.

fastbuild is a bios utility...

 

Fallen Angel beat me to the punch on this one. But ya it has to do with RAID BIOS I believe. It helps build the array. You may have to rebuild the array if you previously had one setup. If not, don't worry about it.

 

ive been looking for a fastbuild bios utility download for over 25 mins... i cant find anything... maybe if you found a bios upgdade for your motherboard fastbuild would be integrated in it...

yeah im pretty sure that would work
go type in your motherboard type to google and then just put bios upgrade
so if your mobo was x8s9d8 type x8s9d8 bios upgrade

other than that i dont know..
