Non-working IE errormessage: ieframe not valid

Last night, my IE just suddenly stopped opening - it would say that an 'unexpted error had occured'. Now it won't open at all.
I've downloaded other internet things to get on, but my msn isn't working either, same problem as with my IE to begin with.

I get the error message "the Application or DLL C:/WINDOWSsystem32ieframe.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your instilation diskette"

What does that mean? I can't seem to connect it with a virus anywhere when googling it.
