Serious answers from high tech know how plz.

Does it matter if I have lets say.. a dual 2.0 processor and 4 GB ram?
Me over-clocking the RAM doesn't mess up the computer does it?
Would it help with the performance? Or should I just get a 2 GB ram for my laptop?

    I have a Sony VAIO VGN fe690

It's generally not a good idea to overclock a laptop, as there would be cooling issues.

Judging from your knowledge on this I'd recommend that you read up and gain some knowledge before going ahead and doing this as things are likely to go wrong if you're new to overclocking.

However, it's likely that the BIOS won't allow you to overclock anything as laptops are generally setup like this.
