I get an error telling me there is no valid mount point for /root. I have a free unformatted logical partition that I want to install it on. Anything that I have tried doesn't work. Should I enter /media/sba6, which is the free partition following the MS format as shown on the partitioning screen ? This is all new to me.

I did manage to dual boot with Mandrake/Mandriva a few years ago and that OS made all the proper partitions automatically. I've stayed away from the guided installs as I can't afford to lose 250GB of crap if I make a mistake. Help Adryn! *nix n00b on board.:D

Hehe, should be Boot in the title. Argghhh!!

nm, I figured it out. My only issue now is that I get a disk boot failure unless I have the Vista or Ubuntu disk in the drive. This may be hardware as I've had some problems before with this. At least everything works fine. :)
