normal.dotm word 2007

    Cannot change normal.dotm in word 2007. I cannot find the file and cannot change default that opens at start to reflect and keep my preferences.

    I did but do not see the normal file. I have searched for normal.dotm and other extensions and have found none. I do have my search set for all files and hidden files. Still no luck. I have attempted to save a template named normal and it will save but every time I open word it is the original. (the calibri font) or default.

    I was trying to find anything that explained what to do if normal.dotm was missing and came up empty.

    The other option is to reinstall Office 2007 and hope that fixes the problem.
