normal removal of netware client does not work help

have a computer for client that wants fast switching and Welcome Screen. Error alert when attempting to change the way users logon is "client services for netware has disabled Welcome Screen...... you must unistall client services for netware. I have done all the normal stuff; network connections, properties, etc. No netware exists on any device or connection. I have deleted users and profiles poked around the registry for some references and still get error message. Any help around this short of reinstalling OS over old?
