northbridge temp?

    Does the northbridge chip on a asus p4p800e-deluxe motherboard have its own temp diode that can be used to see temps? just wondering as i was curious. thanks

    yes have a look in the bios for the system status section.

    or install the ASUS Probe utility from the downloads section of www.asus.com.

    cool thanks ahhh that reminds me when i went to install the asus pc probe from the disk that came with my m/b , it wouldnt let me saying something about 16-bit dos. i dont remember exactly what it said though. i d/led it from the asus site also and recieved the same message.

    Try the latest version it might work. Why do you need to know what the motherboard temperature is... just curious?

    yea just curious im one of those people that likes to know whats going on inside. im a mechanic and sometimes if i replace a part in a car ive never seen i take it apart just to see how it works.
