Norton 2004 settings ? help please

I had a backdoor trojan earlier today and fairly sure its off comp,I went thru the process that norton suggested ...
but I have been getting prompt ,pop up window that a remote computer is trying to access bla bla .

Question is what can I do to stop it if needed ? the acsessing comp ..
And two .. How to stop the annoying pop up window that reminds me every 2 minutes a comp is trying to hack me ?

Which particular Norton product are you using?

It sounds like that you have the Firewall either stand-alone or part of Norton Internet Security (NIS). On my version of NIS in the main window you should see an option called Alerting Level. Click on this and a slider will be displayed allowing you to change the alert level - mine is set to low. I periodically review the Firewall log to see if there is anything I should be concerned about.

You may also have the AlertTracker turned on - this can be hidden if you wish. This can be done by right-clicking on the Firewall icon in the system tray and selecting Hide AlertTracker.

I think I found .. It finally ! Thanks For the help ..Ours must be a little diff ..
But you made me look at the logs and it just looked like cookies ...poison ones ! Well in my system it anti to options to internet to instant messenger
to bottom,,,, alert sender whew !!!

Well that was not it.. man this is driving me crazy !
I found another alerter I shut off ,,we see if that does it .. to options to advanced to alerter off .. something about compressing files ..
