hello all, just wondering if anyone has used norton's new 2009 version yet, and have anything to say about it....I know norton hasn't been considered very good, because of all the free alternatives that work better, but i've read that the 2009 is their best offering so far, and it's real light on system resources, compared to older versions....i don't plan on getting it or anything, just wondering if anyone has any input, good or bad...thanks!

2009 is much less of a resource hog and I do not mind reccomending it. On our front page is Norton Gaming Edition, I am using it and intend to buy it. It added 1 second to my boot up time, barely, and is using 4 megs on average. It is the best Nortons I have seen since DOS, anyone tells you otherwise, they have not really used it.

2009 antivirus, once you add on an entire suite, i dont care who it is, then your going to use multiple resources with multiple programs like anything else. I am loving the Norton gaming edition it does have anti-spyware, email scanning and intrusion protection and a few other features.
