Norton 7.5 CE removal

I am havig a tough time removing Norton 7.5 CE from machines so I can install Symantec 10 CE. If I uninstall Norton using the Add/Remove, it appears to work but when I try to install Symantec 10 it asks for the Norton CD, which I do not have, looking for the navce.msi file. The file does not appear on the machine or the CD for Symantec 10. So. I'm stuck in limbo with thirty some machines.

I have downloaded symnrt but Norton 7.5 is not one of the programs it is said to remove. Are there any other removal tools? How can I get rid of the remnants of Norton 7.5 to be able to install Symantec 10 on these machines? Help!

I didn't read thru the suggestions but I don't think using the Norton Removal Tool would hurt anything.
