Norton and spybot problems

i cant get symantecs site to load even from the definitions link here, norton live update cant connect and spybot wont finish its update installation. are these connected? any ideas?

It looks as if you have a virus. Suggest you run the definitions you have right now on your pc and see what comes up. If you find you have a virus but cant delete it let me know which one it is and I will see if I can find a fix for you from Symantec

 

I think some more information is required.

Do you have a Firewall and is it blocking these applications?
Do you have an Ad blocker?
What are your system specs?
Which version of broswer, Norton and Spybot do you have?
What error messges, if any, do you get? (Exact wording please).

In Spybot have you tried downloading the updates from a different server?

i am going to try and download and manually install the virus defs after i post this

Download.Trojan
found that and norton removed it.
now i am able to get all my other updates as i am posting this.
thank god for the download section of this site, i will be highly reccomending this site to others.
