Norton Anti-Virus 2003

I need help!! When I click on the Liveupdate button, no window opens. I tried to also click on liveupdate in the control panel and through the start menu. I had tried some different things: I uninstalled the liveupdate and reinstalled it to no avail. My subsciption is up in about a month, so i renewed that, but it did not help either. I cannot even open it fronm the symantec website. If this is too little info, let me know. I hope somebody has some ideas. thanx.

Not too many here running Nortons, we dont like the memory and process usage as well as the multiple programs and registry entries it installs, so I would suggust trying their support site which is very good.

Next time try Avast or AVG from our antivirus section, both are free.

Many users have live update problems amongst other issues and as the Major said most here have ditched Norton for other AVs like the ones he posted above....

Hate to interfere with Scooba's post, but can any of you guys recommend a good Anti-Virus program? I am sick of Norton. I know you guys have probably touched on this a thousand times, but just a recommendation or two would be extremely helpful.
