Norton anti virus

Hi all,

Currently Im using norton anti virus paying a fee each year to keep my PC healthy. However I would like to know if folloign the basic instructions in the forum is enogh for mainetance.

Ive jsut done CC cleaner and Spyware doctor and Defragmentation as instructed. And saw lots of improvements.

If I clean up manually like I jsut did , does this mean I no longer need to pay a and install norton anti virus, or are these 2 different things we are talking about?

That would be 2 different things-
However you do not need to continue to pay Norton, there are many great options available. My opinion is Norton is a system hog(slows down your pc) and just does not do that good of job.

The pick for antivirus for me would be AVG-free, yup thats right free-keep that money for yourself.

There is a pro or upgraded version that includes a whole security suite for 36.00 bucks a year. However you have already installed a spyware detector so you should be covered,make sure you have a firewall in the way also.

Uninstalling norton can be a pain(it hides everywhere) there are tools available here at MG's
