Norton antivirus pop up how to shut off ??

Does anyone know how to shut off alert popup box on norton anti ...
When I get off line and want to shut all off ...for gameing the darn pop up warn that its shut off ,,,can't find where to shut it off.. No help fron norton of course 05 anti with security,,,Thanks already Ron//

bout to get something different..... norton support sucks !! its all automated ...and never seems easy to find what you want ! Can't they at least have a email link ...even it it takes a few days for answers ,,,

All of Norton's settings are in the Options menu if memory serves me?

However, I don't think you can completely shut it down if that's what you want to do.

You would have to go into services and kill each Symantec entry.

 

thanks ,,,I'll dig in that direction ,, Norton should make it easy to shut it down ,,, but it overrides every thing ..pops up over other programs ..

 

Even Symantec themselves couldn't shut Norton down. It's bloatware.

I like ZA Security Suite, as it's one module for Firewall, AV, and Spyware etc that's easy to kill when you are gaming or whatever. (That's if you are looking for an alternative)
