Norton Av 03, Firewall problems..

Hi, i have a problem.. when i try to edit my subdreamer website online.. everything works fine untill i have nortan av, fw installed then my cpu usage shoots threw the roof.

I have found out that whenever i click something in my admin section to edit some php.. ccpxysvc.exe uses 99% of my cpu n basicaly locks up my system.

Now editing the site without it works fine, n all my other operations with norton installed works perfect.

Can anyone help?

Tough call on this one. Make sure NIS has all the updates. A quick fix would be to go into the firewall settings and add the domain or static ip for the site to your trusted list. This should get the firewall to allow all traffic from and to the site without any interference. I would post the steps to do that but I don't know them as I don’t run the Norton firewall.

also, i use norton fw because its the only one that ive found that works well & has a built in ad blocker, specialy for hotmail inbox ids that show all around the page. Some block the adds but the blank boxes show, with norton fw, the boxes dont show & the email list is expanded to the full page width if you follow me.

If you can recomend another software that can do that, id be more that happy to swop as im sure it will fix my problem

 

Take the domain name www.whatever.com and enter it into the trusted list on the firewall. Sorry, I don't use Norton so I cannot provide the details on how to enter the domain as trusted. Maybe someone else can post the details.
