norton av 2005 problem turning on live update

    ive got noton system works 2005 and for some unknown reason i cant turn the auto update on ? no matter how many times i press the radio buttons for enable live update, and turn live update on it wont?
    my subscription doesnt run out until 2006? :(

    This happened on my system, although it was Norton Anitvirus 2005 Auto LiveUpdate.

    What operating system are you using?

    If it's XP, check Task Scheduler in Services and make sure it's on Automatic.

    What Insomniac was refering to was the Task Scheduler service .. located here .... Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > look for Task Scheduler and check if its started and its Startup Type is set to Automatic
