How do you shut off the automatic update for Norton AV. It always seems to want to update at the most inopportune times. I might be blind but I can't see the option anywhere.

It may depend on what version that you have. The last version that I used was 2003. From memory, it seems that if you clicked on the desktop icon for Norton, allowed the menu to pop up, there was an Options tab, and enabling/disabling autoupdate was there. :)

    Two ways:

    1. Go to NAV
    2. Click on options and go to live update
    3. Ensure you have "apply updates without interupting me".

This way NAV updates and then send a little pop up that says you virus protection has been updated and thats it.

    Got it sorted out. Thanks!!
