Norton Ghost and Dell System Restore

Hey Everybody!!

Ok I have a dell 700m laptop.. most dells come with a system restore point on a hidden partition of the Hard Drive... DSR for short. You can get to this buy hitting Ctrl +f11 pre boot and it allows you to wipe the computer and restore to shipped state...

Ok.. So i want to know if that is possible to do on my desktop vista install. I basically want to clean install vista, install some key programs, update everything, and then save and back that up to a partition. Just like with the DSR I want to be able to hit Ctrl +f11 or something to that effect and have it boot into the hidden partition and have it wipe the drive and reinstall the back up..

Does anybody know how to do this. I think I might have to use Norton Ghost.. If anybody have any ideas let me here them..

I have always used nortons. I use nortons 14 and it has never failed me ONCE. I tried the other acronis or whatever, It failed me once I never used it again, It could of been my fault and probally was.

You could forsure go that route, or a external harddrive whatever you want. I know nortons 14 will even back up lynix. Played with lynix for a while and backed it up with nortons, again never failed me once and saved me lots of time.
