brand new HP computer with Windows 7.
when my parents bought this computer along with one for them they bought Norton 360. I've never used Norton before and in the past have always been told it was not the best. I did a complete restore back to factory to start fresh and only add on what I want.

one of the programs I noticed already on the computer after restore is "Norton Internet Security". this is different from Norton 360 yes?

I think the best security system to use would be Comodo Internet Security?
if I plan on using Comodo Internet Security instead of Norton 360, what do I do with Norton Internet Security that is already on the new computer? do I leave it or remove it?

IS Comodo Internet Security the best? in the past(and on this older computer) I have used Zone Alarm free for Firewall and AntiVir for anti virus. but it looks like Zone Alarm is actually not one of the better Firewalls to use?
is there another other than Comodo that one would recommend? I want one that is good, but also one that is easy to use as I am not all the high tech computer smart.

If it was my choice, I'd go with Comodo over Norton. Although it's improved greatly over past versions, Norton still seems to cause enough problems to warrant caution. Like any program on a computer, if you don't think you'll use it remove it.

I have no trust in anything ZoneAlarm. Second choice after Comodo's firewall would be PCTools firewall. From user experience (not some paid-for testing you'd find on the internet), I'd say the two are almost equal in both protection and ease-of-use. Based on your needs and use, only you can determine what's best for you.

One note: I did choose Microsoft Security Essentials over Comodo's antivirus; same protection, just less resource usage. This set-up works fine for me, best for you to test what would work best for you.

isn't Comodo Internet Security all in one with Firewall and Anti Virus? or can you only choose to use one?

You can choose to install all or part of the suite and you can remove all or part if already installed.

I have decided to go with Avast for Anti Virus and I downloaded just Comodo Personal Firewall here from major geeks..

currently on this new computer I have Norton Internet Security, as well as Norton Online Backup. if I'm going to use Avast & Comodo I could completely remove both of these Norton programs? I would do that through Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a program?
