Norton IS AS 2005 - firewall problem

Hi, I play a lot of games online and recently my Norton firewall has been constantly changing the rules for svchost.exe randomly and then alerting me in the bottom right corner in which I get pulled out of my games to the windows desktop to only click ok. It was set to automatic, but it just keeps telling me its changed the settings every so often (about every 2-5 min sometimes a little worse and sometimes about 30min).

Ive done the malware removal steps and it has found nothing, I really dont think it is a virus or trojan/spyware. So I've set the default security level to custom and unchecked the access request, and set the svchost.exe to a custom level (the same as norton sets it but with a monitor rule added and deselected) so I wont be getting constant notifications about rules being changed, or constant access requests. This has worked, but now whenever I want to use a program it wont notify me its requesting access and there is no automatic setting.

Is there anyway to disable the automatic setting change notification (that appears in the bottom right hand of the desktop)? or can anyone tell me why the svchost.exe is getting so many inbound requests and norton allows it to change so much?
