Norton Network Security and Ultimate

I have a new Dell XPS 420 system with all the "whistles and bells" including Vista Ultimate. I have an updated Norton Anti Virus program. I have heard from a few people in the know that this may not be the best AV system for Vista. How do you feel about this?

YOU ARE RIGHT!!!Norton is BIG resource hog(it will eat your memory like crazy) and it's not effective like in prottection your computer,so my advice:uninstall norton with this:http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

and install Avast :http://www.majorgeeks.com/Avast_Home_Edition_d1968.html or AVG antivirus: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=886 ,for firewall use COMODO:http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/download_firewall.html

Thank you for your advice however Avast and Comodo web sites do not mention Vista as being an OS they cover.

Sorry I did not look far enough...there is indeed coverage for Vista.

Both Avast and Comodo include support for vista.I know cos I have Dual boot on my comp.And both of my OS's are covered with Avast and Comodo.
