norton problem

live update said there was an error and that i needed to uninstall norton. it wont let me uninstall it. and now certain links on the web when i click on dont respond. like i went to symantec website to support and when i click on chat with a rep it does nothing. 1 of my registry cleaners wont open now and when i go to see what proccess are running it just shows a blue box in the upper left corner. this is weird.
