Norton Problems

    having some problems installing norton after having to do a Packard Bell restore. it stops on the privacy files anyone got any suggestions?

    Operating system, any error messages etc.

    Operating system is windows XP Home no error messages just stops the installation and says something along the lines of could not complete installation

    What Norton is it, AntiVirus, Ghost, Internet Security and what version is it?

    Also, what do you mean by it stops on privacy files?

    Anyway, if that's all it tells you for an error message, then see if there are any more details in the Event Viewer.

    It's located in Control Panel, Administrative Tools.

    Its Norton Internet security 2004 but was completely updated
    When it shows you where it is in the installation process you can see it scanning through the files its installing and it always stops when it gets to ones beginning privacy....
