I just updated my NOrton, but it doesn't show updated on my computer. I keep getting the Security Alert and can't seem to get rid of it. What can I do next?

Windows security alert? If so, what does it say is out of date?

There is known malware that places security warning in your taskbar. If you have that, you probably also have some new desktop icons and tasbar items that you did not put there with similar warnings and offers to scan your computer.

it's a Symantec alert. Says my virus protection is out of date. I have updated those too. To get to this site, I had to turn my firewall off also.

Im concerned you have other problems, please do a malware scan to see what you can find. The malware forum has tutorials and suggested programs.

I'm having the same problem with the "Security Alert" It shows the Symantec logo and states: Your computor is at risk in the folowing areas:
-Virus protection is turned off
Open your Norton product to resolve these issues,

(check box) to prevent duplicate security status alerts, use my existing Norton product alerts and turn off redundant Windows Security Center Alerts
(recommended)

This box keeps poping up and I can't get rid of it. I tried deleting all symantec software on my computor but I can't do that either. Has anyone heard of this.
