I purchased Systemworks 2005 and find I can install thie program only on one computer! Is there a way I can install the program on my laptop also? Thanks, David

I'm afraid you have only obtained the licence for one installation of this software and would be going against the policy of using it on multiple computers. You will have to obtain another copy in order to do this.

No one here will suggest systemworks, its a suite of tools that slows yourt computer down dconstantly and accomplishes nothing.

Can you give me the name of a program that accomplishes the same thing as Systemworks? Thanks.

Systemworks is a suite, as in a collection of programs.

What is it you want to do?

Also, you don't necessarily have to install all of it. You can select custom during the installation process and only select the programs you want.

I like Insomniacs answer, I am just checking back in now. As he said, typically people buy Systemworks and get a whole suite of tools that really slow things down overall. Picking a few tools, or downloading a few free tools, usually works better. I honestly never have seen a computer that needed, or benefited, from SystemWorks. Let us know your end goal.

Obviously, I need a virus progarm that updates. I also like the utilities check (windoc and discdoc and the one-button check for errors

For an antivir try (free) AVAST. As to what the other utilities do I can practically guarantee that there is a freeware utility available which will work at least as good as the Norton equivalent and will not be so damned invasive and memory use intensive. As for Avast it updates frequently and has saved my bacon on plenty of occasions in the last 18 months I have been using it.
Over to the rest now for some more recommendations that will help
    Cheers
    Robert
