    Hi, I am looking for help. It all started when a game I play got an update to their patcher. My patching was stopped and I was given an error with a code. Upon investigation of this error, I think I found some not so good stuff on my computer. I was wondering if this is the reason I still can not install that program. Something called TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen3 came up. Then I did all of the scans that you ask for and doesn't look good. I have attached the first 4 scans. I had some trouble with the MGTools... I'm windows 10 and I forgot to right click and choose run as admin... So... yep I got all those UAC pop ups, thought I was stuck in a loop after saying yes to some I started saying no to the rest to stop the loop. Big mess! Finally it closed, then I did it again the correct way but now don't know if it combined results or what to send you. I see a plain folder and then I see a zip folder. Could or Should I start it over or send one or both of those?

    Looking forward to speaking with you.

    Thank You

    Rick

    Using AdwCleaner.exe previously downloaded:
    • Right-click on AdwCleaner.exe and "Run As Administrator".
    • Click on the Scan button.
    • When the scan has completed, click on the Clean button.
    • Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the on-screen prompts.
    • Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
    • After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[C#].txt) will open automatically (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
    • A copy of that logfile will also be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder.
    • Upload this log to your next reply.

    Next, rerun RogueKiller.exe by right-clicking and select "Run as Administrator".
    When it opens, press the Scan button. After the scan has finished, select the following items for removal and click on the “Remove Selected” button.
    ¤¤¤ Processes : ¤¤¤
    [VT.Unknown] KillerNetworkService.exe(3884) -- C:\Program Files\Killer Networking\Killer Control Center\KillerNetworkService.exe[7] -> Found
    [VT.Unknown] KillerControlCenter.exe(11756) -- C:\Program Files\Killer Networking\Killer Control Center\KillerControlCenter.exe[7] -> Found

    ¤¤¤ Registry : ¤¤¤
    [PUP.Gen1] (X64) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Reimage -> Found

    ¤¤¤ Files : ¤¤¤
    [PUP.Gen1][Folder] C:\Program Files\Reimage -> Found
    After the removal is completed and your pc has rebooted, perform a new scan and upload the fresh log.

    Now rerun Hitman Pro and activate the free 30 day trial license and then use it to delete all the malware it is reporting. Then immediately reboot your PC. After reboot, run a new scan with Hitman Pro and save a new log to upload in your next reply.

    Please upload the MGLogs.zip folder.

    AdwCleaner gave me 2 txt files after todays scan, sent them both. Roguekiller all of a sudden had none of those items listed for me to remove, Attached the newest log file. I have shut that killer control center from being in my startup, it was annoying and I think it came already on the laptop. Maybe that is why it didn't show up in this scan? Also attached Hitman Pro new log.

    I don't find any remaining malware. I would suggest that you fully uninstall the game and be careful of the source when re-installing. (guessing it was Minion?)

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase it, it provide no protection. It do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    3. If running Vista, Win 7/8/10 - it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it, don't be concerned - just move on to the next step.
    5. Go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double-click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. After doing the above, you should work through the below link:
    Safe surfing!

    Thank You for your help. The game was Archeage that uses Glyph to patch.... Glyph had an update and stopped in the middle of it with an error. Seems no one else has this problem. I had uninstalled it and removed all traces to reinstall but wont allow a reinstall. I will try to uninstall the entire game and start from scratch now.

    Sorry, this isn't a malware issue but a software one. Someone in our Software Forum may be able to help you there.
