EGHH.. ok, I got my video card installed,(nVIDIA Geforce6200 256mb) and I have uninstalled and reinstalled my VC drivers,... and the screen resolution converts back to normal and everything,.. but when I try to play GTA SA, the software logos come on but it won't play the cutscene or anything after that. The logos just fade out and then the screen goes blank. I noticed that my comp freezes when I try to play .megs or any movies at all off the web as well.
My buddy says it could be lack of power. I took a step up from a Geforce 4 64mb to this 256. Could that be why im having this problem?

Make SURE you have the latest drivers availible from www.nvidia.com That may be your problem.

Also, what are your comp specs? More importantly what size is your power supply?

Well, I ended up reinstalling windows, but I used the same partitions. I assume that the drivers would have been erased by doing this. Plus, in my last thread the comp wouldnt even boot up XP, and now it does. It just wont play games or video.

How much power does your PS provide? If it is a generic PS like they put in stock computers its probably 300w or less. You may want to get one that is at least 400w.

And make sure about half of your total power is on the 12v rail. watts = volts x amps. Ex. 12volts x 12amps = 144watts.
