I've had this system for about 3 months. Everything seems to be running great. Then one day last week, I turned on the computer, and I had no video. It was like the monitor was not turning on. (17" LCD) So i figured it was the monitor, and after a few minutes of trying, I went to the garage and pulled out the old 15" flat screen, and tried it. Great, back to the 15", Which means it was the monitor. Well, like as soon as I turned on the computer, it was really slow. booting was slow, and almost everyprogram i tried to run, like IE or Micro Office, I would get "not responing", but I could wait for like 5 to 10 seconds and the (Not Responding) would go away, and it would be ok for like 10 min. or so. Well, I initally thought to try the Removal guide http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
All my scans came back clean. But there is still something not right. I did a system restore after the scans came back clean, and it cleaned everything up, or so I thought. Now, when I turn on the system, everything is ok, normal times, and 90% of the time it is ok. I have the video hooked to Tv and we watch alot of movies on here, and it never happened before but now like in the middle of the movie things will freeze, talking stops, system freeze for a few seconds, then back to normal for a few miutes. It is not only happening during movies though, I am still getting a few not responding messages from Internet EX, and Media player music and other stuff, and the monitor will freeze up for 3 to 5 seconds. I don't know if this software or hardware, but I DO NOT always use multiple displays. I only turn on video to go to TV right before we watch a movie. And while we are watching movie the is not anyone browsing the internet or anything. It kinda seems to me like the HD is getting overworked or something. Any help would be great and I will post my specs below. I can also post my SAS and mbam logs upon request, cause I dont want to post them in software, I just didn't know where to post.

sounds like it could be a few things....high temps are one thing to check, but also bad RAM, or hard drive too. You can use memtest to check your RAM

To check your hard drive, download the utility from whichever the manufacturer of your drive is. It's usually a bootable utility (from a floppy or cd)
if it's seagate, they have seatools for windows. here's a list of different ones

ve never seen the video get above 46C, or the CPU or HD above 39. I will try a MEMcheck. Dont know if this is even realated, but when i turn on the system, I am getting 5 short post beeps. I'm not sure if these are related, but it just started soon after the monitor thing. Luckily I do have a Full 3 year onsite warranty :). So if the stress tools don't work well, I can call them. I just want to make sure it is not a software issue. Thanks for the replies

Thanks for the list. After the beeps though, the system boot up normal./ It really seems to not have an affect on anything. I think that each mobo beeps are different and I will look into it. The mobo is MSI P7N, maybe someone will have some input.

If you are under warranty then DO NOT ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS YOURSELF or you will invalidate it.

Contact your warranty support as this is probably an issue for them to resolve.

About the post beeps. It has only been beeping since it has been hot here in my room. My Thermaltake fan controller has a setup to beep when my temps get above 40C. Well when i turn on the system it is already above 40C. So it gives me an extra beep for each device. At least that is what IBUYPOWER is telling me. And turns out I DID have a malware issue that was causing WMP and alot of other programs to ...jump/freeze/ not respond.

you might want to check for more malware here, just so you can definitely rule that out:

If you're sure the beeps are for your cpu going over 40, then you can disregard the post i made earlier.

what program did you use to monitor your temps, and did you run it for a while to let things heat up?

I use EVGA Presicion software for video monitoring. but for my HD and CPU, I only have this little Thermaltake meter display in the front of my computer. No matter what I run the Cpu and HD never get above 39C, and the video. I have seen it get up tp 49 or 50 while playing Fallout 3 and COD 4.

I read on another forum that Award Bios has many different version of their beeps because many diff manufactures or somthing. I don't really believe it is the Temp monitor, because I just disconnected it, and booted up, and still got the beeps. I think I shold have those people come look at it. Cause it is def. not what they said it was.
