Not sure the problem - IE will not stop..

I am not sure the problem here. I have had similar problems in the past but have no clue as to what fixed it then or what caused it. Here's the thing. I will have no IE windows open and yet under running processes there are two that say iexplorer. And they will not go away. I can click end process til I am blue un the face and they will not go away. PLEASE TELL ME - whats the deal? Thanks so much.

Thanks. I will try that. I guess I forgot to mention I have Ad-Aware and run it and it removes everything. And I did a virus scan with Norton and it came up fine. Does this make any difference?

In the past the problem I had wsa that after I had opened a window in IE and then closed it it would continue to be running under the processes list. I could click end process then to make it stop though. Don;t know what ever fiked that one.
