Not Sure What Is Causing This...

Tim helped me in the Malware forum to clean up some not so serious stuff. Ask toolbar and some pups, think that was it. So after the clean up what started happening was the following:

Cold boot or restart computer gets to the log in screen and I enter the password and hit enter...computer goes to desktop.
A couple seconds later the screen turns black I can hear some error noise and the screen comes back to the login screen.

I login the second time and get to the desktop. The mouse pointer is larger.

No more black screen or asking for login again.

There are issues with the video adapters. See attached screenshot of device manager.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and rolled back drivers. Under properties it says the drivers are working properly but I get an error message in the Action Center that says they didn't load and were replaced with the Microsoft Basic drivers. Suggests to check Windows Update for a more current driver.

I went to Windows Update but I don't see a place for Optional Updates like there used to be in other versions of windows.

I thought maybe it was the antivirus causing the problem because that was a new change or addition.

I have also uninstalled recent updates.

    Any ideas?

Don't go to WU for driver updates.
Go to Device Manager > that module > properties > driver > choose 'update driver' and use the option to search the internet with your system connected to it.
Windows 10 does actually search for driver updates by default unless it has been blocked proactively by a user:

I have a Dell Inspiron 15-5555. For the Graphics driver(s) displayed in your screen capture, go to the Dell Support site, enter the Service Tag number in Product Support, go to Drivers and downloads and select the chipset driver for the AMD/Radeon and locate the Intel and download and install both.
