alright I updated my BIOS from the intel website a long time ago, the problem is I have a Sony Vaio computer, so now I can't use any VAIO programs, at fiirst I thought no big deal. Now I come to find I can't get any drivers or updates from the website , I get this error message "this update is not intended for use with your computer model". I want to use my tv tuner, but I can't get to the drivers on that site, the TV tuner card is called the "sony MPEG realtime encoder board" Now if there is a way to roll back my BIOS, or find drivers for this card I would greatly appreaciate help, I've spent hours

You have to take out the cmos battery so it will reset to default ....leave it out for at least an hour (heard variations between 10 min. to 4 hrs.) You could look for the manual for your motherboard and it might show the jumpers to reset without removing the battery. Or you could try getting into the bios and choose default settings ....might take it back.

Taking out the battery doesn't normally work on laptops.

Anyway, that just resets it to default settings, not rolling back to the previous Bios.

Anyway, try to see if there is a Bios flash on the Sony website, or there are companies which can sell you a Bios chip if applicable.
