    Tucanspam Private E-2

I recently bought alot of upgrades for my PC. I couldnt afford alot so I read up on new budget pci-express mother boards. I went out and purchased K8nforce4-A754 Mobo, and originally Nvida 6200 256 Winfast Pci-express Video card. I noticeed I couldn't play any online EA games, like Battlefield 2, but seem to play in the offline mode. I was getting errors called"nv4_display.Dll" errors and the game would freeze and I would have to physically do a hard shut down of my system. I looked up these errors online and it basically said erase and reload the most current drivers. I did that and still couldn't play the games. I returned the video card and purchased ATI's PCI-Express Radeon x300se. I still cannot play the games and will freeze up. But this time I get no errors. My Harddrive (sata)is new, I have over 1 gig of 3200 memory in my system, and never had these issues till I got these pieces. I play World of Warcraft online with no issues at all though, but when I tested EQ2 online I raised some of my settings and then it crashed also. This is all on XP sp2 OS. Wish I had my 9550 agp card again cause I had no issues but was excited about the pci-express cards.Any help would be appreciated.

INHO, both the x300 and the 6200 video cards are geared toward the user who wishes to just use email, browse the internet, play solitare, or to play frisbee with.

I'd take those cards back and get atleast a 6600gt.

I agree they are lower end cards, first I think you should try removing the drivers with drivercleaner pro"download section"follow the readme EXACTLY or it wont work, then install the latest drivers, also make sure the latest chipset drivers are installed for your motherboard, although it runs slow it shouldnt lock up,bf2 is very scalable you can knock all the special effect doen so it can run on any card with pixel shader 2.0,so you may also want to play with the settings, first turn eveything down then add effects and detail until you are happy with the detail and frames per second ;)
