ok i have a inspiron 8100 and that bad boy gets hot especially on the bottom, i have looked around and so far have not found what i want in a not book cooler, i want something that can attach to the notebooks bottom, preferably usb powered but can be powered by a ac, cools good and can be used in your lap with out blocking anything. now seeing as i can't fine on that i wanted i decide i'm going to build my own, it will have a aluminum top(part that attaches to the notebook, it will use a pci slot fan, and will have small pegs inside that will not only direct the air to a side exhaust but will be used like a heat sink, there will be a big thermal pad between the notebook and aluminum to help with heat transfer. it will have a ac and usb powered option along with a switch to adjust speed when in ac mode(i have to do the calculations to make sure usb has enough power to do what i want), and the rest of it will be made out of plexiglass. so what do you guys think?
