Hi, not sure if this is where the thread belongs but here goes.
I wanted to install my old PS/2 optical Genius Mouse on my notebook with XP that doesnt have a PS/2 plug, so I got an adapter to connect it to the USB port.
Windows seems to recognize the device but doesnt recognize its a mouse and I cant select to use it other than the pad thingy. Ive downloaded the original drivers but they dont seem to make it work it eitherway.
Is there any way I can get the system to know Im connecting a mouse to it and give me the option to use it?
I know I should probably just get a new mouse, but I feel pretty dumb getting the adapter and going through all the trouble that I just want to make work somehow.
    Thanks in advance.
