Notification - Instant

What does the Notification - Instant column do in the support forums (fora, for the pedants)?

 

Do you mean instant email notification in edit options:confused
That means what it says, notification of a reply to one of your subscribed threads.

Ok, my mistake - it's only in the subscribed threads listing (I checked a few other places and it's not there), over on the right. Sorry for misleading. :-o

I think that just means that your options are already set to instant notification for those threads.

 

I do get instant notification (by email, I assume that is), but none of them are ticked on my list. Maybe if you don't have Instant Notification selected by default, you can select which individual subscriptions you want it for?

You can use that Notification column to select one or multiple thread to change the notification options using the menu at the bottom of your list of threads. So say you wanted to change the notification for your third listed subscribed thread, you would check the notification box, then scroll down to the bottom of your subscribed list and, using the drop-down menu, change the notification option to the new one you required.

I suppose that might have something to do with why it says 'selected threads' next to the drop down list... rolleyes
