AKA Reminder software. Anyone know of a reasonably priced or preferably free utility that can remind you of dates, events, etc. Thanks.

    DO you have office installed?

Im not sure about other versions but outlook 2003 does this quite well. Its not reasonably priced lol but most people seem to have it.

I've used and liked the FREE Mozilla Calendar program called Sunbird. Seems to be comparable to Outlook's calendar...

OK, Mada, I've installed it and it looks like that'll do what I wanted. Quick question: I noticed the "help" menu is grayed out, where do I go to figure out how this alarm system works? I looked at the site, but I don't see it. Perhaps a plug in of some sort? I really appreciate this Mada. Thanks.

Sunbird and Lightning do not have a help function yet. There is a project ongoing which provides an extension for Sunbird. The extension can be found on their project page. The same project also came up with an online help.

I appreciate it Mada. I'll wait for the prime time version and in the meantime I believe I can muddle through it. Thanks again:)

Its fairly simple if I recall.

You can set an alert by right-clicking on a day of the month, and selecting 'New Event'

This brings up a dialog where you can specify the what, where and when of your alert. It also does reocurring reminders, too!

I've installed Sunbird but one thing I've noticed with most (make that all) USA-centric programs of this type that I have tried, is that they have daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
No mention of fortnightly. Lots of happenongs in OZ are based on 2 weekly, like some wage payments, all pension payments, some rent payments, etc.

Anyone know of any program that caters for fortnightly?
Other than that, Sunbird is quite good. Bazza

It looks like this is something their working on! You can switch to weekly view, and there's a disabled option for 'Number Of Weeks'...maybe you could find an extension, or a hidden tweak...

    Daily, every 14 days !!
Who'd a thunk it? Not me obviously. :D Yep, that works.
Next question, how about for events that happen on the First Friday in each month, or 1st and 3rd weekends, etc., for example. Gonna have to read the Help file, I guess.;)
