    Yes, I know how, but I'm not going to advise you how. It's there for your own protection, to ensure that any potentially dangerous changes to your system were actually requested by you, and are not as a result of some malware doing its dirty work.

    Learn to live with it.

    Actually you are not the "Administrator", the Operating System is. The Run as Admin password screen is there to protect you and the Operating System, from trying to take over your machine and run as a escalated operation. Just be thankful that the programmers at Microsoft saw fit, to finally make their operating systems somewhat idiot proof, even though they still allow viri to be downloaded without "sandboxing" stuff.

    Never had a Virus problem in Xp so way should i in 7 This would have to be the most idiotic statement ever! You leave yourself wide open to an attack and it's only a matter of time. You say your computer scans every night... what can it possible scan for or with if you have no virus protection.

    Well I'll tell you how, but like they all said. It's a very bad idea. ANY Windows computer is more prone to viruses or malware EVEN IF YOU DO NOT VISIT ANY BAD SITES. There are things like ROAMING viruses that try random public IP addresses, but "We told you so".

    You want to turn off UAC Control. Or at least, that's the method I know that would work. Again...

    **** THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND BORDERLINE STUPID ****

    Here's the steps;

    1) Start > Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts
    2) Turn User Account Control On or Off
    3) Check the box to turn if off or on.

    I believe in repetition. Don't say we didn't warn you. We did. Many times. Good luck.

    Actually Xenith, it will not turn off UAC, it just turns off the annoying warnings. They will still not get escalated to a true "administrator", like the prior windows versions. Rumor is with Windows 8, MSE is built in, and there is no way around turning off UAC, due to they layered in sandboxing, and better protection, but still nothing like Linux & OS-X.

    No rumour a form of MSE is built into Windows 8, its actually in the guise of Windows Defender but with a updated engine (possibly could end up with Forefronts engine). MSE will not install in W8 due to Defender being the new MSE for W8

    Minefield of a question and while I would always wish to answer your question fully with a route to in part do what you want, the reasons why are posted by others and it would be remiss of me to post them, when the fact would be if you knew the OS fairly well you could find the route to give you whats more a Power Users account over full admin as rightly its not disabled only the popups are.

    Pitfall to disabling the popups in UAC is that some legacy applications need the Run as Admin dialogue to run, if its not actioned they will fail to run, and you would be back here mentioning apps that dont run.

    I run Windows 7 daily and really dont see that many UAC prompts so its likely the apps you are using, wanting a form of admin rights to change things like registry etc (dangerous in itself, more so if you disable UAC prompts as a warning to said apps), do core component access that well may not really be something to mess with.

    I think if you look closely in how Windows 7 works and its policies then you may find what you need.
