I'm running Vista 32-bit service pk-2. The system takes over 2 mins to load, and tends to freeze for a few secs while on the web or running applications. I tried uninstalling McAfee security, but kept getting a NSIS error launching installer. I opened MSconfig and noticed almost half the services there were stopped. I ran the read and run me first tools, and attached the logs as requested. I do appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks much!

Please remove everything found by RogueKiller and Hitman.

Reboot and rescan with both and attach the new logs.

I removed everything that RougeKiller and HitmanPro found. I rebooted, rescaned and attached the new logs as directed.

What malware issues are you still having, if any?

Still getting NSIS error when trying to uninstall McAfee security. Also, error 2738 "can't access VBScript run time for custom action" when uninstalling BlackBerry app. I tried to reset windows update tool and got the following error "windows script host can't find script engine VBScript for C:\windows\system32\elevate.vbs"

I suggest you post in the software forum as those are not malware issues.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    3. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    4. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    5. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    6. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Thanks again for all your assistance. I will repost in the software forum.
