nsURLformatter

hey guys when i try to completely erase firefox to try a clean reinstall, it tells me that the javascript file nsURLformatter is corrupt and unreadable. also my chkdsk cant verify indexes and as such cant go past. then i lost most of the programs in my start, programs list. i cant install avast either so i am haivin a lot of problems with this laptop. i have a windows xp professional toshiba satille, i know i spelt it wrong.

have you tried the systems restore option and go back to a date you know the computer was working properly

i cant access it, its missing from start menu

ok have tried the f 8 function when you boot up and select last known good configeration

you can also use the system restore function if you go into my computer local disk c windows folder systems32 folder in there you will find a folder named restore open it inside locate and double click on rstrui.exe this will bring up the system restore menu
