Hey guys, I have just put an order on the Xaiox R9 Plus android PC (a box that runs android 6 and takes 3.5 inch hard drives). Since buying this I have been reading articles that seem to suggest that android will not support NTFS, instead relying on FAT32 which only supports a maximum file size of 4GB. This would be terrible since most of the files I would like to put on it are in excess of 10GB.

The unit has a built in SATA 3.5 inch drive bay so I would love to just throw in a 10TB NTFS formatted hard drive in there and use it but after reading those articles I am now unsure if android is the correct platform for the job. So many unanswered questions... will the 10TB SATA hard drive need to be formatted to FAT32 or does this limitation only exist with USB media? - Can I download an android app that will make NTFS work? Have the manufacturers of the box already thought of this and therefore have incorporated NTFS support into their firmware? or am I just screwed?

    Thanks in advance

Turns out that maybe an external USB storage device can help out here.
