ntfs quick?

    i did a reformat using quick nstead of normal will it do anything like bad like not get all data off hdd? or what is the downside

    i saw somewhere in mg some1 said ntfs and ntfs quick should take 1-2 hours...well quick took 5 min

    Quick .. formats the file format without checking if the disk has bad sectors or disk corruption ( only use if you know your HD has no corrupted sectors )

    Normal .. Formats and identifies any bad sectors and flags them as not to be used for storing data.


    as for the time of formatting it can be different for various system setups some quick and some slow... ntfs quick should be minutes not hours, whereas normal maybe over and hour+ depending on system specs.
