did a major boo and formatted my mp3 player to ntfs. How can i return the hdd on it back to ones and zeros so i can format it as fat. I dont have partition manager as ive heard that does the job.

Must be anothe simple way of going from ntfs to fat. Any ideas?

When you plug it in, does it pop up in "My Computer"? If so, you might be able to just right click and select "Format..."

hmm, the best way would be to reformat it to fat, as Wyatt_Earp has mentioned, coz changing file system (without data loose) it's quite complicated task for partitioning prog and not every can does this. i don't know for sure but i've heard some where that disk director from acronis can do this conversion

You cant convert ntfs to fat in winxp. I did howeve get my hands on partiti0on magic 8. I have formatted it to fat and reloaded the system files back into it. Unfortunately it just crashes when i turn it on now so its back to the land of toshiba and hopefully my warranty wont have been voided.

    Appreciate the help newho.
