NTI dvd maker not working

when i click on NTI dvd maker it says %1 was not installed correctly or has been alterd

Try uninstalling it thru Add/Remove Programs, reboot the PC, and re-install it. That should fix it

to reinstall it i need the disk or find the file directory and i dont have a disk and cant find the nti dvd.msi file

What version? Is it retail or OEM? What burner(s) are you using it with?

whats OEM it came with my computer already installed no disk and burners i usally use dvd decrypter...... i dont really ever use NTI though

If it came with your computer it is an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) so it might not be a true full copy.
Is the OS original to the computer or have you upgraded it? I ask because when I upgraded an HP from ME to XP, I got a list of programs I had to remove before I upgraded because these programs would not work with the CD/DVD drive and the OS.
Did the computer come with a recovery disk? If so, it may be possible to fix applications on a one by one basis. Note: you do not want to do a recovery where the hd is formatted because this would wipe out everything and return your computer to the condition it was in when it was purchased.

i didnt upgrade it and it didnt come with a recovery disc

Then it would appear that you have two choices:
1. forget about using NTI and look at other dvd programs
2. purchase a retail copy so you can get it installed.
