NTLDR is missing

I purchased a computer a year ago with windows XP pre loaded so I do not have a disk. I just purchased another computer yesterday and tried to move the hard drive from the old one to the new one. When I boot the new computer, I get the message that "NTLDR is missing". I have searched the site and the information appears to require a windows XP CD. Any suggestions on solving this without CD? I really don't want to spend another $120 for an XP CD. The old hard drive works fine when put back into the old (this) computer so I do not really want to play with the settings to much without being sure it works in case I can't get it to work on either system.

Check this article out, but from the looks of it you need a Windows XP cd.
