NTLDR/Recover Console Access

When I boot up my PC I get that nasty "NTLDR is missing. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to Restart" Of course, it keeps happening. So I go into the XP Recover Console and type in what I was told:

    C:\WINDOWS>copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\

But when I do that I get:

    Access is Denied

    How do I fix this?

Now I was able to get NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM files in the C:\Windows folder using cmd prompt, but I still get the error message. Does it HAVE to be done by recovery console, or should I just repair/reinstall Windows?

    Any help is appreciated.

Try coping ntldr from the root of the CD.

    For example:

    copy d:\ntldr c:\
