This is an interesting problem. When I reboot my computer I receive the following error:
"Windows coudl not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
    Windows Root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
Please re-install a copy of the above file"

However, when I disconnect all USB devices the computer boots up with no problems. I have an HP Pavillion a1630n and I have restored the system with the restoration disks, but still have the same problem. I figured that it could be a power supply problem, so I replaced that and it still does the same thing. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you running Windows XP, Vista, or an older version of Windows?

The XP version of the ntoskrnl.exe KB article: KB314477.
The earlier NT versions are fixed with the article: KB124550.
The Vista articles I found did not give your error message, but I can search again tomorrow if that's what you need.
