Hi. Ive had this problem in the past when I tried playing an old 16 bit game on windows XP. I fixed it by using

windows restore, but now its back after I clicked on one of my old programs that used to run perfectly fine and it

wont go away even when I restored it back to a month ago.

Here is a screenshot of the error. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v342/MasterBattler/sig/Untitled-2.jpg

I am running windows XP SP1.
    2.8 ghz p4
    1gb pc3200ram
    256mb nvidia5950fx
    soundblaster audigy2
intel motherboard (not sure which model)

This error shows up whenever I restart my computer. It does not come up when I restart my computer and it is

disconnected from the internet. As soon as I connect my ethernet cable to my linksys router, the error comes

up and my dsl box begins flashing as if there is activity going on. When this happens I can access the internet

at normal speeds for about 10 minutes before it goes out completely. When I connect my computer to the DSL

box directly the error does not come up but I still only get about 15 minutes of internet before I have to restart

my computer and modem to get back on.

Whenever the error shows up it creates a dl.exe file somewhere in my computer. Lately it has been showing up

in the Documents and Settings\MyName\. When I try to delete it, an error box pops up saying file is in use by

another program/person. I used killbox and it deleted the file but as soon as I restart and get the error again it

    re-appears.

I have scanned and used ad-aware and nothing shows up. I have replaced the config.nt and autoexec.nt and the

command.com files (and set them to read-only) and nothing. I have searched microsofts database and all of the

instructions there do not help. I have ran hijackthis and there is nothing unusual.

I hope someone in here can help me solve this problem.
