NTVDM Issue

So my work computer is giving me this issue every couple minutes the command prompt will pop up and than an error message saying

C:\DOCUME~\ADMINI~1\ddaqaey1.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:0536 IP:024c OP:ff de 01 36 05 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

if i hit close it goes away for a few minutes but it will come back. If i step away from the computer for a few minutes it will come back and it will come up with the same error about 10 times so i have to hit close a buch of times till it goes away. I've ran norton and spybot to no avail and if i go in and delete the file it just comes back or a file with the same name but a different number. any suggestions would be great as my boss is being gay and won't get a IT guy to look at it.

Its an old Dell running Win XP (sorry i don't know more about it i only have to use it for like 30 min a day and my boss doesn't let me mess with it very much)

I think you should run the scans in the READ AND RUN ME FIRST sticky in the malware forums. The sooner you take care of it, the easier it'll be. :wave:wave

But, I just read your post again. This is going to take a lot longer than 30 minutes!
