numbers not showing (vista op)

Hi,
when using either internet or e-mails I do not get Numbers on the web page or when i type Numbers when I E-mail !!

have changed the encoding and in doing so the Numbers will show for about 3sec then again just go !!!

just been trying anything to fix, well found out now thats its only TELEPHONE No >>>> when typing No on there own thats ok even leaving a gap thats fine, but anything that looks like a telephone No then it just goes ???? for example 1 2 3 4 thats ok 23 34 56 thats ok but anything that looks like 0234-67899, 0800.etc just goes of the screen ?

does this all the time when using e-mail (msn).....

have ran a virus check/rootkit etc nothing....

just did it to this post, was a tell No before the 08 00 No.... shows up on the screen when i go to edit this thread !!! HELP.....

Yes to skype, but stopped skype on start-up and still the same,

running IE, works fine in word and note pad ....

can get the Numbers when I get sent e-mail, using hotmail !!!

but when i send any e-mail with that line of Numbers, IE phone numbers, I just loose them..

just noticed that when typing numbers they link up to skype, ie the little uk flag and do you want to call using skype comes up !!!

will update java and flash but computer is upto date with all fixes...

should i uninstall skype !!

thanks for the links, well progress at last, fingers crossed....

web pages are now ok, BUT and a big BUT hotmail still throws the tell numbers out ????

stopped all the skype bits, took of the add on to the browser etc

what now ?? have the upto date msn, well at least web pages are back,

well the skype telephone numbers are back !!!! skype not on !!!!

 

Not sure how the start menu works on Vista but if you use the IE with no Add ons icon to start IE do you still have the problem?

thanks for the intrest and help, taken skype off and all is well !!!!!!
after a couple of reboots taking ad on's of from skype etc all fine,
will reinstall skype later ( no ad on's etc and what you posted )
will post here if skype does inter---fear !!!

ALL ok !!!! what I did was,,,,,

took off all add-ons to do with skype in IE, disabled all add-ons to do with skype, ( tools, manage add-ons disable etc...) then uninstalled skype, re-booting every time, once all skype taken off checked in hotmail and web and all telephone numbers BACK !!!

then reinstalled skype, went into tools,advanced and unchecked
"associated skype with callto: links on the web.

this worked fine, also unchecked start skype at start up etc
all works fine now, hope this helps anyone else with this problem
