I don't know much about my laptop computer but it's a Dell, Latitude D260; Before when I opened it on safe mode it said that it was Windows XP Professional service pack 3, I tried to take it back to the last good state it had but then the screen went completely black and didn't do anything for an hour. I bought it refurbished so I don't know if any of the stickers would be correct for it. This is the second time it's gotten this way. First time all I needed the most was the re-installation cd and playing around with it. I can't get it past one of the two pixel screens or lightened black screen, or past the blue screen that says either one of the two "nv4_disp error" and "IRQL_Not_Less_or_equal." I only had my laptop mouse connected to it in the USB hookup at the time it did this and when I went to remove the battery to make sure it was completely shut off it felt warm. Would I be able to download anything from my desktop to a flash drive that will make it work?

I know this site shows to run something on the computer to find it, but this is the only working computer that I can get on, the laptop I can't.

Also, it continues to say that the Drivers are stuck in an infinite loop along with the same information it gives... "STOP: 0x000000EA, 0x8641FD8, 0xF7A55CBC, 0x00000001"

Got the laptop to open up in safe mode, shows the bottom halfway on the screen. Tried to restore back to May 1st, system restore point. Says that "F" driver was shut off or removed.

Also, it's now back to saying something about the nv4_disp again.

I got it to start up like normal, well, slightly normal.
It showed a window saying that "Windows has recovered from an error."
It kept flashing every so often then it just turned to a lightened black screen.
It was also installing a windows update and the antivirus program started running.

And now it's showing a blue screen with a black bar vertically when I turn it back on each time and it's blinking.

when bsod is appeared you will be able to see the error message , even you can look at this

Still a lightened black screen to a darkened screen or, "No signal" when it's connected to the external monitor.

Do you press FN - F8 ( notice a blue CRT/LCD marking ) simultaneously connecting with an external monitor ? :wave

    It's not doing anything still.
There's still a blue screen on the monitor saying "no signal."
And the laptop screen is still black.
I have the internet switch on and all that comes on with the lights are the power indicator and the battery one.
The light that tells whether the wireless internet is on or off doesn't show and I know for sure that it's on. The light that looks like a tube keeps turning on then turns off, and I know that light is usually blinking when it usually works like it's supposed to.

I pressed FN - F8 several times and ended up with that screen and chose last configuration option when that screen came up, even though it was all distorted. Then I tried to get it back up and then pressed those again, and it gives me a white screen with black traveling down before going into a screen with gray lines horizontally.
